Day 3: OK

Dear Reader, I entered the Moulin Rouge styling event. That's me. I tried and I think I did better this time personally but, I'm not the professional and I am not really sure. I didn't place and I think I didn't rate well. That's okay readers I finally resolved my self to enjoy the experience while it last. I am learning a lot of skills I can take away from this. I am meeting people and that's always a nice thing. My friends and my boyfriend were there cheering me on. One thing I am definitely learning is to appreciate the people around me; who love and truly care for me.The glamour does not matter to them and at the end of the day....win or lose I have love and enduring friendships.

Day 2: Dance Styling

I finally got up the nerve to try a styling event. I chose to style hip hop because the dances are creative but there is a whole lifestyle that goes along with it. So I dressed and I'm in the backstage waiting to be called. I practice walking and posing feeling restless. Finally my name is called...I walk out and I hit my first mark, everything is going fine. I haven't over walked the stage or missed my mark. I move to the second mark and my poses freeze. I'm frozen in one pose. I start to panic, then I just started turning my ao off and on to simulate posing. I just finished the runway in that mode. Then when I went to stand and wait for the judges decision....guess what? You guessed right, my poses began to work lol. Fortunately, I tied for 3rd. It was quite an experience I will never forget. See, I even forgot to take a picture at the event. Readers, I'll do better next time :).

UCWS and Blog Creating Class

Well, the fact that I need to take a class on this subject tells you reader that I have never done this before. Was it difficult, yes, but I asked questions of all my teachers and now....I'm blogging. :) My classmates and I are learning together.

Day one : Finding My legs

Modeling, when we watch on TV  we think, oh that's easy. In SL we say the same thing...that is until we begin the process. Modeling in rl takes work on the outer layer and other skills that make you sought  out as a top model. In SL, it's easy to be beautiful, just a couple of clicks on the computer you have instant beauty. SL modeling I find is more than a look; its skill and personality. Its learning formations and helping another who may not get it. I found this all out on my first day.

Walking down the runway the first time in practice brought out nerves I never experienced before. Then another time I went to a styling event I was not supposed to be in and stumbled through that (LOL). All in all I have tripped, over run my marks and walked like a flakey newbie to the applause of my teachers, friends and fellow students who encourage each other not to stop, keep going because its all a process. Next time I see modeling in the real, I will remember my first day experience then applaud and encourage that new model in her hope to be a Top Model. I am just beginning.....
